CHARTER: Building Bridges · General Meeting (1-3 DEC)
The final 2021 appointment of CHARTER will be the General Meeting “Charter: Building Bridges“, taking place in Ljubljana (Slovenia). The event is organised and will be hosted by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and the Republic of Slovenia from 1 to 3 December 2021.
Why is the title of the meeting Building Bridges? Because it is a unique European CH project that will build bridges between different national education programs, professions, sustainable and modern technologies, all interwoven with a common European history. A heritage that binds us together.
During three days, the CHARTER Alliance consortium will be introduced to Slovenian heritage and key aspects of their particular ecosystem:
- Legislation in the field of CH protection, which defines the role of experts and volunteers, non-governmental and governmental organizations.
- Rules for acquiring professional titles required to work in the various fields of CH.
- Western Balkans context analysis to learn more about their educational and professional opportunities.
This event will present a new and important space devoted to young students, who represent the development and progress of CH, even though they have many problems mainly due to poor employment opportunities. We will give them the opportunity to describe the situation they face after graduation.
The national presentations will be linked to Charter workshops prepared by different working groups and their experts. The organisation of various questionnaires, databases and proper analysis of the data obtained are key to building a unified system of CH professions. They are another basis for Building Bridges.
