The CHARTER Alliance is glad to announce the Swedish General Meeting from 14 to 16 June 2023 in Mariestad hosted by the Craft Laboratory, University of Gothenburg.
The first day starts with a study tour in Nääs, on the outskirts of Gothenburg, visiting the regional building conservation centre and the diverse local heritage with a castle and a converted industrial area. Lastly, a handicraft seminar with courses and learning circles. In the afternoon, the general assembly meeting takes place.
The second day, 15 June, is devoted to the open day with invited local, regional, and national stakeholders to debate the craft, traditional knowledge and intangible heritage and with which skills to equip new generations of sustainable heritage craftsmanship with relevance and contribution to the good of society.
This meeting comes at an important moment for the project, where forecasts of future gaps and needs and scenarios for the Cultural Heritage sector are formulated into policy recommendations and strategies for implementation.
