In an effort to shed light on the status and working conditions of artists and cultural professionals across the European Union, a new platform has been launched on the Creatives Unite portal. This platform stands as a pioneering EU-wide repository dedicated to working conditions prevalent within the cultural and creative sectors.

Embarking on a mission to illuminate the complexities of working conditions within the cultural domain, this platform serves as an invaluable resource. It outlines vital aspects of working conditions prevalent across the 27 member states of the EU, delving into areas such as regulatory frameworks, social security provisions, labour relations, educational opportunities, skills development, and the notion of artistic freedom.

This innovative platform is an integral component of the 2023-2026 EU Work Plan for Culture. Its inception is rooted in the insights and recommendations by national experts from across the EU, who have actively contributed through the Open Method of Coordination Group dedicated to this subject matter.
